This video by Clinical Hypnotherapist Alena Guest is a conversation on creativity and how spring is the perfect parallel to the creative force. We all know what it is to encounter a creative block. Engaging hypnotherapy as a therapeutic application will help build a bridge or guide you back to your creativity.

Part 3 of a 3 part series:
Part 3 of the continuing series of 'Diet is a four letter word'; this installment has the most practical advise of all. I know why diets seldom work and I know what will work permanently. As we get closer to summer most of us begin to think about how we'll look in last year's bathing suit, sleeveless dresses and shorts. As a friend of mine says "my fat cells have deja-vu". So if you don't want to lose that same 10 pounds only to gain them back be sure to follow this short 3-part video series. Featuring Clinical Hypnotherapist Alena Guest In this video, Clinical Hypnotherapist and artist Alena Guest talks about her painting Persephone, which is not only autobiographical, but a subconscious premonition of her calling as a hypnotherapist. She shows Persephone printed in a hard bound anthology, of her as well as others' art, which were displayed in the 2005 Biennial exhibition, in Florence, Italy. In this video Clinical Hypnotherapist breaks down the five essential keys to creating effective affirmations. An interview with Alena Guest at the MCTV studio in Fort Bragg, California filmed in January 2013. In this interview I discuss how to make resolutions for the New Year and otherwise that work. Click on the video below to view the full interview. Inspired by reading Mary Catherine Bateson's, Composing A Further Life, I posted the previous blog.
Here you'll discover a video of Jane Fonda giving a compelling talk on the same subject, life's third act. She too was influenced by Ms. Bateson's ideas. Each of us has deep dreams. I believe that these "extra" years offer an opportunity, if we will only grab it, to realize that deferred dream. Or as the poet, Langston Hughes said, "What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore--- and then run? Does it stink like rotten meat? Or crust and sugar over-- like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it just sags like a heavy load. Or does it explode?" My deepest dream has always been to write, because it's the thing I think I cannot do. What is yours? |
